Once more
I find myself losing sight of the shore
In the midst of mist, the blur pertains
Playing with my sanity, creating riddles and forming mind stains
The solemn silence fills the air entirely
All that surrounds me is nothingness and infinity
Once more
I find myself losing sight of the shore
My fleet beneath me, floating on the lake
The moment feels serendipitous, as though the world is repeating the same happy mistake
The solemn silence fills the air entirely
All that surrounds me is nothingness and infinity
Once more
I find myself losing sight of the shore
Peering into my memories for a strategy to find my way back home
I marvel at this lake of solitude, the beauty of being alone
The solemn silence fills the air entirely
All that surrounds me is nothingness and infinity
Once more I find myself losing sight of the shore
Embraced the mystery, entranced by life’s enigma I remain seated
My evils have drowned in the waters, foolish fears have been defeated
The solemn silence fills the air entirely
All I am is nothingness and infinity

First off I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind before
writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my mind
in getting my ideas out. I truly do take pleasure in writing however
it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost simply just
trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?
Kudos!

Hey Lisa!
Thank you very much for reading my writing and commenting, much appreciated and warms my heart.
Sometimes a few sentences of words just come to me, I write them down no matter what and note down the date as well. Sometimes, it starts a waterfall of words and other times they assemble in the background as I am. Generally most poetry and writings take a longer period to form to find all the write it to a level that I feel it captures the right emotion.
At other times I have so much inspiration bursting from the seams that poems come multiple a day. For example after watching a Shakespeare play or being around an inspirational writer or having quiet boredom that sparks my inner voice to capture the moments of recent times.
I hope that helps and otherwise feel free to reply and ask more!
Love, Lily
