From dawn till dusk
The unknown follows me
I cannot run
I cannot hide
My shadow refuses to subside.
In darkness, I find home
And dream ever so sweetly
Once I wake
Once I open my eyes
My shadow does not demise
Confronting internal demons
While seizing sunlight
I hesitate
I try to escape
My shadow does not lose shape.
I am never alone
Haunted by all colours of fear
I aim to eradicate my shadows
Awaiting the day they’ll disappear.
